Jason Romero, 26, has spent most of his racing career at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. Romero raced karts at Prairie City Raceway in 2002 before moving over to All American Speedway to compete in the Mini-Stock division.
After racing mini-stocks for nearly four years, and winning multiple championships, Romero started competing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model division. In 2007 he made 10 late model starts, scoring six top-five finishes.
In 2008, Romero began competing full-time in late models, running for his family-owned and operated team against several competitive multi-car teams. That season Romero finished 10th in the All American Speedway Late Model points standings.
The 2009 season proved to be a breakout year for the Cameron Park native. Romero dominated the competition at All American Speedway, winning 11 races on his way to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship. He finished 11th overall in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national standings and was honored by NASCAR with the Wendell Scott Trailblazer Award, which recognizes the achievements of female and minority drivers.
Romero is recently engaged to his longtime girlfriend and is working towards finishing his undergraduate degree in business. In his spare time, Romero enjoys working on cars and spending time with his fiancée and friends.
