Changing Lanes (BET)
Show Description
It is no secret that NASCAR is the second most popular sport in the US. The popularity of this fast-paced sport has grown to include a more diverse fan-base than ever before – 40% of fans are women while 1 in 5 is minority. While there is definitely a multi-cultural curiosity about NASCAR, it still lacks a notable presence of women and minorities. Changing Lanes promises to tackle this issue head-on.
In partnership with Max Siegel, former President of Global Operations for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. (DEI) and the first African American NASCAR franchise president in the history of the sport, Changing Lanes provides an insider view of pre-race preparations and race-day excitement from the green flag to the checkered flag.
Changing Lanes is a one-hour competition series that will chronicle NASCAR’s search for the next female or minority driving sensation. Viewers will learn about these prospects and their thirst for racing through their backgrounds and stories.
