Max Siegel – Chief Executive Officer
An accomplished entertainment executive, attorney, author, conference organizer and television & film producer, Max is one of the most sought after persons in the entertainment industry. Max was formerly the President of Global Operations at Dale Earnhardt Inc., where he made history as the highest-ranking African American executive in NASCAR. As one of the most influential executives in the entertainment and sports industries, he oversaw the entire organization including competition, marketing, sales, sponsorship and distribution for all DEI’s properties including motorsports teams, licensing, promotion, business development and the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.
With over fifteen years of brokering deals and project management, he is known for his sharp and savvy business expertise. The former Sony BMG/Zomba Label Group executive held dual positions as Senior Vice President of Zomba Label and President of Zomba Gospel. During his tenure at Sony BMG, Max helped the company score more #1 hits and gold and platinum records than ever before. He served on the executive team that produced top gospel pop artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp, John P. Kee, Vikki Winans, Kelly Price and more.
John Story – President
John has spent his entire career in sports marketing, management and communications, most recently as vice president of motorsports for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Prior to joining DEI, he was the CEO and general manager of Robby Gordon Motorsports and has worked for several of sports and entertainments biggest brands including The PGA of America, Walt Disney World, International Speedway Corporation and Greg Norman’s Great White Shark Enterprises.
In 1999 John began work for Greg Norman, arguably the most successful athlete turned business executive ever, and was introduced to the full breadth of management when he served on a team that represented the Shark’s interests including golf course design, athletic turf, real estate development, the Greg Norman Collection, Greg Norman Estates wines, tournament management and more. Earlier, while a publicist at Disney, he was introduced and recruited to the world of NASCAR after he directed events following Jeff Gordon’s win in the inaugural Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis with Gordon announcing “I’m Going to Disney World.”
